McKeesport Native, Austin Davis Makes History As Pennsylvania's First Black Lt. Governor-Elect

33-year-old McKeesport native, Austin Davis has made history, becoming the first-ever Black Lt. Governor-elect of Pennsylvania, numerous media outlets now project.

Davis will be sworn in in January alongside Gov.-elect Josh Shapiro, CNN, ABC, and NBC News project.

The current 35th district representative to the Pennsylvania House has served the area in this role for four years, and previously was an assistant to Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald.

Davis is a member of the Legislative Black Caucus, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Allegheny County Housing Authority, Vice-Chairman Allegheny County Democratic Committee, and a member of the Board Of Directors for the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh.
